Felipe Nunes examines public opinion trends at ICCI event

ICCI welcomed political scientist Felipe Nunes at an event in Rio de Janeiro in the second week of February. In a panel moderated by Ana Carolina Lourenço, ICCI’s Program Director, he shared data and insights on public opinion and electoral behavior, reflecting on Brazilian values and how they have evolved over time.

As professor and CEO of Quaest, he discussed how widespread mistrust in Brazilian society has concrete impacts in a deeply unequal country. He also analyzed how issues such as climate change, the defense of democracy, and social justice tend to be framed, debated, and prioritized by voters, shaped by geographic differences and dominant narratives.

An inspiring conversation with leaders from philanthropic institutes and foundations in the room.
