Américo Sampaio

Director of Partnerships

Américo holds a degree in Sociology and Politics and an MBA in Economics and Government Relations. He is also a public policy advocacy expert and specialist in pooling and social listening for cause-based campaigns. With nearly 20 years of experience in civil society and philanthropy, Americo has held senior roles at organizations such as CIEDS, Escola de Governo de São Paulo, Comunitas, Purpose and Instituto Clima e Sociedade (iCS), where he led communications and engagement efforts. Américo has contributed to major campaigns and coalitions in ICCI’s cause areas: climate, democracy, and justice. He has also been a columnist for CBN and Fórum magazine, as well as a contributor to the development of IREX’s Clean Energy Incubator program.
