ICCI takes part in the 13th GIFE Congress

08 May 2025

Ana Carolina Lourenço, Programmatic Director at ICCI, participated today in a panel at the 13th GIFE Congress, held in Fortaleza.

Alongside Daiene Mendes (Fundo de Apoio ao Jornalismo), Laura Molinari (Nem Presa Nem Morta), Victor Moura (Redes do Beberibe), and Yane Mendes (Rede Tumulto), Carol discussed the role that strategic communications play in social transformation, connecting impactful narratives with a broader audience.

The panel, with the room completely filled, was part of the first edition of the congress held outside São Paulo in 15 years. It focused on how, although extremist discourse tends to engage more easily, there are effective strategies to challenge perceptions and amplify voices.

The discussion also explored how private social investment can support initiatives that decentralize communication and ensure more diversity in the construction of public opinion.
