ICCI joins “Reclaiming the Climate Agenda from a Brazilian Perspective” in São Paulo
ICCI’s Executive Director, Marco Kelson Kertzman, took part in “Reclaiming the Climate Agenda from a Brazilian Perspective”, an event held in São Paulo by Positive Ventures in collaboration with Lightrock and the Milken Institute. The event brought together stakeholders across the climate ecosystem, emphasizing that addressing the climate crisis requires building bridges between sectors, communities, and knowledge systems, and doing so with dialogue and courage. The initiative also aimed to inspire organizations to turn commitments into tangible results, in alignment with the objectives of COP30, which will take place this November in Belém.
Speaking at the “Influence and Implementation” panel, Marco presented ICCI’s work and emphasized the role of culture and strategic communication in shifting narratives and moving the climate agenda forward while avoiding polarization.
Joining him on the panel were Kamila Camilo, founder of Instituto Oya; Teresa Bracher, entrepreneur, activist, and philanthropist; and Thiago Rached, CEO and cofounder of Letrus and member of Positive Ventures’ Investment Committee. Together, they brought fresh perspectives on climate justice and the transformative role of philanthropy.
The event also featured the panel “COP30 and Its Leaders”, where diverse voices explored ways to drive the climate agenda forward.
